Client Services Supervisor

Position Summary

The Pod Supervisor is a tactical, hands-on role responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the Pod. The Pod Supervisor will ensure that Advisory, Tax Prep and Compliance, Bookkeeping, and Payroll services are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company standards. This role is focused on the day-to-day execution of tasks, ensuring that processes are followed correctly and that the team is supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Oversight: Monitor the day-to-day operations of the Pod to ensure tasks are completed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks of completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with client requirements.

  • On-the-Floor Support: Serve as the first point of contact for Pod associates, answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and providing immediate guidance.

  • Task Delegation: Assign daily tasks and manage workflow within the Pod, making adjustments to ensure operational targets are met.

  • Training and Coaching: Conduct hands-on training for new and existing team members to reinforce correct processes and develop individual skills.

  • Issue Escalation: Manage and resolve operational issues as they arise, escalating more complex or systemic problems to the Pod Manager.

  • Reporting: Track and report on daily operational metrics, such as client deliverables, error rates, and team productivity, to the Pod Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in at least one of the Pod's core service areas (Tax, Bookkeeping, Payroll, or Advisory). At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity is required.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth, hands-on knowledge of accounting principles and industry-specific software and tools.

  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
