The Training Specialist’s primary focus is new hire onboarding and core curriculum program management for all employees. As the face of Orientation, this role combines employee engagement, facilitation, and learning elements to create an environment that builds and supports an excellent new hire experience and a thriving learning culture. In this role, the Training Specialist guides new hires through a seamless onboarding process, ensuring their successful integration into our organization, and starts them on their learning journey with 1-800Accountant. This role will facilitate connections between new employees and their colleagues, promoting collaboration and a sense of belonging within our company.
The Training Specialist is responsible for conducting training for new and ongoing learning and development of internal processes and systems, soft skills, supervisory and managerial training that are considered part of our core learning pathway. Working with the Training Manager, this role implements and manages training programs that will ensure our employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to execute job duties and utilize our internal systems effectively.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs that align with the company's values and culture. Execute and oversee new hire onboarding including planning, scheduling coordinating and facilitating New Hire Orientation for employees, contractors and offshore team members.
Serve as a point of contact for new hires, resolving issues and/or bridging connections across the organization, and use this experience to create and update employee resources to support a successful and comprehensive onboarding experience.
In collaboration with hiring managers, HR and the Training Manager, ensure all new hires have a comprehensive and current training plan with clear direction on training activities and expectations.
implement comprehensive training programs on various core topics, soft skills and internal systems for employees & offshore team members across various departments.
Facilitate virtual learning sessions with a high level of learner engagement utilizing best practices for optimal outcomes.
Create and maintain training materials, facilitator guides and other documents related to Learning & Development.
Evaluate the effectiveness of new hire training programs through survey feedback, and work with stakeholders to make recommendations for necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Acts as LMS Administrator, maintaining accurate e-learning records and ensuring the learning management system is monitored, updated and used efficiently and effectively.
Keep up-to-date with organizational changes and initiatives to speak fluently on priorities. Understand our mission, vision and core values and be the model of models regarding behavior standards and expectations for service delivery.
Requirements and Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in onboarding or recruitment with a proven track record of successful onboarding processes and employee engagement.
2-5 years of experience in Learning and Development with a working knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices for effective learning design and evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
Ability and interest in building rapport with new employees and establishing a positive onboarding experience.
Facilitation experience in a virtual environment using Google Meet
Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate the diverse needs and backgrounds in the classroom
Self-starter with high attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with remote team members in a virtual classroom environment
Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems
Proficiency in Google Suite.
Compensation:
$70,000 to $80,000
